CUSTOM PHOTOGRAPHY
NATURE / WILDLIFE / EVENT / PRODUCT / PORTRAIT / LANDSCAPE / . . .
While I’m not a professional photographer, photography is a key part of my creative process, and often complements my other services. Sometimes, the best way to capture the right image for your content will be to take it myself! Here are a few things to consider when deciding if this service is right for you…
Step 1 - Do you really need a specialist?
If you need high-end, professional photography (e.g., sports, fashion, or wildlife photography requiring specialist kit), I won’t be able to provide what you’re looking for. But for general event coverage, landscapes, or accessible wildlife shots, I offer a high-quality, cost-effective solution that can save you money without sacrificing visual impact.
Step 2 - What scale will you display at?
My camera’s resolution is perfectly useable up to A3 print size, which would include magazine spreads, web use and more. Beyond that, image quality will decline, losing sharpness and clarity of fine details, so it’s important to consider how large your image will be displayed or how sharp your images need to be at larger print scales.
Step 3 - Do you have consent?
GDPR (Data Protection) regulations require consent for using and storing images of people, especially minors. While I retain overall copyright for all the photos I take (and will obtain separate consents from subjects if I intend to retain copies for my own work and self-promotion) , I’ll work with you to ensure that images are only used as agreed in your GDPR policy.
